The Pizza Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas by following standardized recipes, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring consistent taste, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings as per standard recipes
Operate pizza ovens (deck / conveyor / wood-fired) safely and efficiently
Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation
Maintain cleanliness of the workstation and kitchen equipment
Follow food safety, hygiene, and FSSAI standards
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the supervisor
Handle peak-hour orders efficiently without compromising quality
Assist in kitchen prep and other duties as assigned
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of pizza preparation and baking techniques
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good time management and multitasking skills
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene
Team player with a positive attitude
Qualifications
Minimum education: Basic schooling
Formal culinary training is an added advantage
Experience
1-3 years of experience as a Pizza Chef or similar role
Experience in QSR / restaurant / cloud kitchen preferred
Work Conditions
Standing for long hours
Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays
