• The Piping Stress Engineer has the technical and schedule responsibility to perform stress analysis and prepare stress reports.
• Ensure adequate flexibility in the piping system by suggesting/incorporating necessary changes in the piping layout
• Locate support points in the 3D model of the piping system
• Support selection to ensure proper working of the piping system
• Optimizing piping layout by integrating the functions of piping design, stress analysis, and support design
• Estimate preliminary loads to release early the civil & steel structures detail design
• React to any missing information

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for issuing Piping Drawings for project-specific applications
• Review, Control, and own 3D Piping Models
• Perform Pipe Stress Analysis and Pipe Support Calculations as required
• Write Specifications as required
• Review vendor drawings as required
• Coordinating with various disciplines at all levels
• Co-ordinate with Piping Fabricators and Piping Insulation Vendors
• Knowledge of piping materials/Codes & standard works is an advantage
• Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Participate in project review meetings

Qualification

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of experience in Pipe stress analysis
• 3-4 years of offshore project experience is a must
• Experience in Pipe stress and Pipe support calculations
• Working knowledge of stress analysis tools like Caesar-II and AutoPipe
• Exposure to the latest American and European standards and codes.
