to support engineering design and execution of industrial projects. The role involves piping design, layout development, stress coordination, material selection, and compliance with international codes and client specifications. The candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and support projects through concept, detailed engineering, and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
Develop piping design and layouts for industrial plants in compliance with project specifications and applicable codes
Prepare and review P&IDs, piping layouts, isometrics, GA drawings, and material take-offs
Perform piping material selection, line sizing coordination, and specification development
Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams
Review vendor drawings and technical documents
Support stress analysis teams and ensure piping layouts meet stress and flexibility requirements
Participate in model reviews, design reviews
Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, and site construction
Resolve engineering queries and manage design changes
Mentor junior engineers and designers when required
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical
5-10 years of relevant experience in piping engineering or engineering services environment
Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME B31 series, API, ASTM, etc.)
Experience with 3D modelling tools such as AVEVA E3D, PDMS, SP3D, or AutoCAD Plant 3D
Good understanding of piping materials, supports, and fabrication practices
Experience in brownfield and/or greenfield projects is an advantage
Preferred Skills
Exposure to stress analysis tools (CAESAR II - coordination level)
Knowledge of international client specifications
Strong Problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Experience in offshore/onshore projects
