Performing detailed piping stress analysis to ensure systems can withstand various loads (pressure, temperature, seismic, wind, vibration, etc.).
Developing and managing piping material specifications/classes.
Ensuring all design and analysis work complies with relevant industry codes and standards, including ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API 610, and API 617.
Collaborating with design and construction teams to optimize piping layouts and support systems.
Providing technical support and guidance during construction, installation, and commissioning phases (site support).
Participating in safety reviews and risk analyses.
Preparing detailed reports, datasheets, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE Mech).
Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience, preferably in an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) environment.
Software Proficiency: Experience with stress analysis software (e.g., CAESAR II, AutoPIPE) and 3D model review tools like SmartPlant and Navisworks.
Industry Standards: Thorough knowledge of ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), B31.4 (Pipeline Transportation Systems for Liquid Hydrocarbons and Other Liquids), B31.8 (Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems), API 610 (Centrifugal Pumps), and API 617 (Centrifugal Compressors).
