Key responsibilities
Design and development: Create detailed piping systems, including layouts, and develop supporting structures.
Analysis: Perform stress and fluid flow simulations to ensure the structural integrity and efficiency of the systems.
Documentation: Prepare Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), create fabrication drawings, and manage bill of materials (BOM).
Material selection: Choose appropriate pipes, fittings, and valves based on the fluid characteristics, such as pressure, temperature, and chemical properties.
Compliance and standards: Ensure all designs and installations meet industry codes, standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Collaboration: Work with project managers, architects, process engineers, and construction teams to align on project goals and address technical queries.
Installation and commissioning: Oversee the installation process, including fabrication, painting, and testing, and assist with commissioning and troubleshooting.
Maintenance: Develop maintenance plans and provide technical support for identifying and resolving system issues.
