Job Description

The primary objective is to work closely with the Project Lead Piping Engineer to produce and verify system design CAD files, drawings and 3D Model.This role requires strict adherence to project specifications, scope of work, design parameters, standards, codes, procedures, and industry practices.The Piping technologist must utilize P&IDs, line lists, stress information, and vendor data to ensure accuracy and compliance in all designs.

Activities

Lead FEED & Detail Piping design and 3D model activities for projects.



Capable of reviewing all design drawings produced by Piping designers.



Review & Interpret of Scope of work, Project specification, Technical Specification, Standard drawings/Documents.



Review & Interpret of PFD, P&ID, UFD, Equipment drawings, Interdisciplinary drawings, Vendor drawings Etc.



Study & Develop Basic & Detailed layouts - Plot plan, Key plan, Equipment Layout, Piping Layout.



Develop 3D model using CADD software, participate stage wise model review reviews, comments update, final close out.



Extraction of Navis model, piping deliverables like Layouts, sectional views , elevational views, Isometric drawings, Bill of Materials, general arrangement drawings etc..



Preparation of Pipe rack and Pipe support location drawings.



Provide interdisciplinary inputs like support locations, Nozzle orientation, vessel cleat locations etc.



Collaborate with other Engineering disciplines to ensure design accuracy and compliance.



Ensure design meets the industry standards and project requirements.



Assist in resolving design issues, technical support during Fabrications, Erection and Installations.



Knowledge in International Codes & Standards, Materials, Basic Calculation.



Knowledge in Nozzle orientation, routing concept, Valves, Instruments, Material Handling, Pipe stress, Civil & Structural , Cable trays etc..



Responsible for maintaining the project documentation for revision control.



Must be able to perform the modification of routing according to site requirements and As built.



Must be able to assists in on-the-job-training and mentoring of Juniors.



Must be able to travel domestic / Overseas based on project requirements.



Able to handle small size projects independently in the absence of lead Piping engineer

Experience :

6+ years of piping design experience in relevant Oil and Gas Projects. Prior work experience in Production Facility Engineering, Onshore, Offshore & FPSO Modules, Management of Construction suppliers, Site Engineering support for Pre commissioning and Commissioning activities.

Expertise :

Oil and Gas Plant Engineering and Construction Thorough knowledge on reputed client specifications and international codes / standards. Expertise in developing Plot plan and other Piping deliverable independently. Has sufficient work experience and knowledge in Piping layout / Design/ Pipe support / PDMS, E3D.
