Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop

mechanical design calculations

and

equipment sizing

for pumps, blowers, compressors, valves, pipelines, clarifiers, filters, and other water/wastewater treatment equipment. Prepare

P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)

,

GA (General Arrangement) drawings

, and

equipment layout drawings

. Select materials and components based on process requirements, pressure ratings, corrosion resistance, and standards (ASME, ASTM, IS codes, etc.). Prepare

technical specifications, datasheets, and BOQs

(Bill of Quantities) for mechanical equipment and systems. Coordinate with civil, electrical, and process engineers to ensure design integration across disciplines. Review vendor drawings, technical offers, and ensure compliance with project specifications. Support procurement and fabrication activities by providing

technical clarifications

and

design documentation

. Participate in

design reviews

,

HAZOPs

, and

value engineering

sessions. Provide

technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning

of equipment. Ensure compliance with

safety

,

environmental

, and

quality standards

throughout the design and execution phases.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

(Master's degree preferred).

3-8 years

of experience in design and engineering of

water / wastewater treatment plants

,

RO systems

, or

EPC projects

. Strong knowledge of: Hydraulic design principles Pump and pipeline sizing Pressure vessel and piping design codes (ASME, API, IS) 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) Experience with software such as

EPANET

,

PipeFlow Expert

, or

Caepipe

(preferred). Familiarity with

project execution processes

,

tendering

, and

vendor management

. Excellent communication and report writing skills.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
