Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Piping Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing layouts in 3D models, including equipment, piping, structures, and instrumentation for plants and skids. The engineer will ensure the designs adhere to international standards and project specifications while maintaining the highest quality. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for piping routing and utilizing Unigraphics (NX) software for advanced modelling tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

3D Design & Layout: Design and develop 3D models of equipment, piping, structures, and instrumentation for entire plants or inside a skid. Piping Routing: Perform detailed piping routing for the systems, considering plant layout constraints and safety regulations. International Standards Compliance: Ensure all designs follow international standards and project specifications. Design Reviews: Prepare designs for review and effectively incorporate feedback, ensuring that comments are addressed. Piping Deliverables: Produce and ensure the quality and consistency of common piping deliverables, such as drawings and models. Self-Review: Perform self-reviews of drawings produced to ensure quality and accuracy. P&ID Mark-ups: Actively engage in the mark-up of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Product & Process Knowledge: Apply knowledge of Product Design, Value Engineering, Process & Manufacturing Engineering, and 3D Parametric Modeling. Software Proficiency: Utilize tools such as AutoCAD 3D, Solid Edge, Unigraphics (NX), and other relevant software for design and modeling. Design Progress Documentation: Regularly update design progress and maintain proper documentation. International Specifications Familiarity: Ensure familiarity and compliance with international specifications related to structures, piping, and vessels.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, Solid Edge, and Unigraphics (NX) for 3D parametric modelling and advanced design tasks. Experience with P&ID, PDMS, Skid Designing, Aspen, and CATIA. Strong knowledge of piping routing and its application to plant layout design. A solid understanding of product design, process engineering, and value engineering.

Additional Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Good communication skills for presenting and reviewing designs. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and handle project timelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with international piping and vessel design codes and standards. Experience in the design and analysis of process systems. Strong understanding of piping materials, pipe stress analysis, and related systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
