Job Purpose :

Co-ordination, review and perform detail engineering of Piping for projects in the field of Refinery &

Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, and other chemical projects.

Job Accountabilities - Duties & Responsibilities

Engineering activities and site support.

Reviewing engineering deliverables like Plot Plan, Equipment/Piping Layout drawings, G.A drawings, Isometrics, Steam tracing schedules, UG piping layout etc. Reviewing of project engineering specifications/procedures prepared by DEC and checking their alignment to RIL requirements & standard norms. Ensuring the technical integrity and quality of engineering deliverables Review of correctness of MTOs Review of piping inputs to other Engineering disciplines for co-ordination and interface management Review of other discipline inputs like P&ID, LDT, equipment drawings, Package drawings etc. Review of material constraints and resolving them by expediting their delivery or suitable substitutions Participation in 3D model reviews and provide appropriate comments Review of SOQs for mechanical contracts Forwarding the Waivers / Deviations / Concession requests raised by different groups involving piping for approval after checks Resolving site engineering queries Engineering support to site construction team, O&M Reviewing and finalization of schedule of different engineering deliverables. Review of model development and Isometric schedule to align with the projected progress

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

Knowledge of International/national codes, Stds and practices pertaining to piping design viz. ASME/ASTM/API/ISO/BS/MSS-SP/NACE/IS/BIS/IBR/OISD etc. Appraise engineering deliverables generated by DEC Knowledge of Piping material engineering including piping specialty items Interdisciplinary checks and co-ordination Knowledge of Automation tools and soft wares Knowledge of Spoolgen Appraise Project Specifications and Engineering Procedures Appraise Inputs to other disciplines Monitoring MR/PO delivery, shortfall and surplus Appraise Waivers / Deviations / SERs Technical Bid Evaluation Review Review datasheets and vendor drawings Studying PFDs/P&IDs, Understanding the plant specific process, operation, maintenance and statutory requirements Review of plant layout and equipment layout Model Reviews DOR Review and finalization Preparation/Review of Quality Plan

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)

Necessary:

B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical Engg) or equivalent Knowledge of MS Tools, Smart Plant review, Navisworks Minimum 10 - 12 Years of Experience of Detailed Piping Design in project execution in Refinery & Petrochemicals and Oil & Gas industry

Desirable:

Working experience as a member of PMC team handling LSTK projects Piping modelling in PDS/S3D, Drafting in AutoCAD, MicroStation Effective written and verbal communication skills * Readiness for posting/traveling to various sites as per requirements
