Mechanical Engineer with experience in Design and Construction of Long-distance Pipeline Projects and Operation / Maintenance of existing pipelines in the Oil and Gas Industry



Perform the following drawings / studies / simulations / calculations



Prepare Pipeline layouts / alignment sheets / road crossing drawings, sectionalizing valves, and segment drawings Perform pipeline thickness calculations, buckling, buoyancy analysis, Pipe stress analysis , bending analysis and similar mechanical calculations Pipeline Free Spanning - Maximum Allowed Span Length Assessment and Pipe Support Determination. Receiving field data, gather pipe specs, loading conditions, support type, environmental conditions, Third Party Request (TPR) Review for Pipeline Encroachments and Wheel Load Analysis. Collect data on pipeline specifications, including maps, construction details, depth of cover, operating pressure, maintenance history, and geotechnical hazards. Understand the nature of the encroachment, including its location relative to the pipeline, the type of activity (e.g., construction, heavy vehicle crossing, utility installation), and potential loads or stresses. Identify potential risks associated with the encroachment, such as physical damage to the pipeline, increased stress or strain, corrosion risk, or operational disruptions Prepare construction drawings and perform wheel load analysis , crossing details drawings. Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations, Industry codes, and standards (e.g., ASME B31.4/ B31.8, API RP 1102/1104, ASME B16.5) to ensure compliance. Communication with various stakeholders such as Integrity/ Inspection/ ROW/Construction teams. Update of 3d models in SP3D, AVEVA 3D models , BIM360 environment utilizing plant 3d, Revit. Awareness of Pipeline fabrication , welding , installation, Destructive and Non-Destructive , Hydrostatic testing and commissioning methods. Third Party Request (TPR) Review for Pipeline Encroachments and Wheel Load Analysis Collect data on pipeline specifications, including maps, construction details, depth of cover, operating pressure, maintenance history, and geotechnical hazards. Understand the nature of the encroachment, including its location relative to the pipeline, the type of activity (e.g., construction, heavy vehicle crossing, utility installation), and potential loads or stresses. Identify potential risks associated with the encroachment, such as physical damage to the pipeline, increased stress or strain, corrosion risk, or operational disruptions Review construction drawings and perform wheel load analysis Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations, BP and industry codes, and standards (e.g., ASME B31.8, API RP 1102) to ensure compliance. Communication with Entrust/ROW/Construction teams Pipeline Free Spanning - Maximum Allowed Span Length Assessment and Pipe Support Determination. Receiving field data, gather pipe specs, loading conditions, support type, environmental conditions, Choose a Load Distribution Model, and Apply Structural Formulas to calculate length.

Work Experience



Required Skills and Experience



8+ years experience with Bachelor of Mechancial Engineering . Specialization in Pipeline Engineering is an advantage Experience in Oil and Gas domain with Upstream or Downstream refinery Tools such as Windows, MS Office, CAESAR-II Plant3D / AVEVE E3D and similar modelling software. * Exposure to RCM, Preventive maintenance
