Job Title: Piping Fitter

Job Purpose:

To perform installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems according to drawings, specifications, and safety standards, ensuring the proper fit-up and alignment of pipes and components.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret piping drawings, isometric sketches, and P&IDs. Measure, cut, bevel, and fit pipe sections using hand and power tools. Perform layout and fit-up of pipes, fittings, supports, and other components based on drawings and project requirements. Align pipes and secure them temporarily for welding or mechanical joining. Install different types of piping materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, HDPE, GRE, and others. Support welding activities by ensuring proper root gap, alignment, and orientation of pipes. Install pipe supports, brackets, and hangers as per specifications. Conduct visual inspections of fit-ups and report any misalignments or defects to the supervisor. Assist in hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, flushing, and commissioning activities. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and comply with site HSE regulations at all times.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

ITI / Trade Certificate in Pipe Fitting or Mechanical discipline. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a piping fitter in industrial or construction projects. Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, power plants, or shipbuilding is an advantage.

Skills:

Proficient in reading and interpreting piping drawings and specifications. Good understanding of pipe schedules, diameters, fittings, and valves. Skilled in cutting, grinding, beveling, and fit-up techniques. Familiar with tools such as grinders, torches, pipe wrenches, pipe alignment tools, and measuring instruments. Basic knowledge of welding processes and testing procedures. Awareness of site safety and permit-to-work systems.

Pay: ?21,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
