Position: Pipe Fitter (Plumbing & Sanitary Works)

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled, disciplined, and safety-conscious Pipe Fitter to execute plumbing and sanitary installations at project sites. The Pipe Fitter will be responsible for accurate installation, alignment, testing, and finishing of pipe systems in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and site instructions.

This role requires hands-on expertise, attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pipe Installation & Execution

Install water supply, drainage, sanitary, and rainwater pipelines as per approved drawings and instructions. Perform cutting, threading, welding/jointing, fitting, clamping, and proper alignment of pipes. Maintain correct slope, level, spacing, and orientation of pipelines. Ensure end caps / covers are fixed on open pipe ends to prevent choking or debris entry. Carry out trial/sample installations before final fixing, wherever required.
2. Testing & Quality Control

Conduct pressure tests, leakage tests, and flow tests as per specifications. Identify and rectify leakages, misalignment, or defective workmanship immediately. Ensure correct pipe size, material, fittings, and make as per work order and BOQ. Maintain clean, professional, and durable workmanship at all times.
3. Tools, Equipment & Material Handling

Operate plumbing tools, machines, and equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect tools and machines daily and report any damage or malfunction. Ensure tools are cleaned, maintained, and stored properly after work. Assist in checking material quality before installation and report shortages.
4. Safety & Site Discipline

Strictly follow all site safety rules and company safety guidelines. Use PPE such as helmet, gloves, safety shoes, and safety belt where required. Ensure safe working practices near open pipelines, trenches, and excavated areas. Coordinate safely with other trades working at site (civil, electrical, finishing).
5. Coordination & Reporting

Work under the guidance of the Site Supervisor / Project Manager. Coordinate with helpers, plumbers, masons, and other site workers. Inform supervisors about site issues, drawing clarifications, or material requirements. Support site measurements, inspections, and daily progress reporting when required.
6. Housekeeping & Additional Duties

Keep the work area clean, organized, and hazard-free. Ensure no tools or materials are left unattended at work locations. Support store handling and material shifting when instructed. Perform any additional plumbing-related tasks assigned by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Pipe Fitter in plumbing projects.
Technical Knowledge

Ability to understand basic plumbing drawings and layouts. Hands-on experience with GI, CPVC, UPVC, HDPE, SWR, and similar piping systems. Knowledge of pipe slope, alignment, pressure testing, and finishing standards.
Personal Attributes

Physically fit and comfortable working at construction sites. Disciplined, punctual, and quality-focused. Team player with a responsible and positive work attitude. Ability to work under deadlines and site pressure.

Pay: ₹11,312.90 - ₹35,606.26 per month
