We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented P&ID Designer with 3-5 years of experience to develop and maintain Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and other process design deliverables. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and other relevant design software. You will play a key role in project execution, working closely with engineers and designers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project standards from the conceptual phase through to commissioning.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Draft, develop, and revise Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs). Create and modify other related drawings such as Equipment Layouts and Conceptual Piping General Arrangement Drawings (GADs). Utilize intelligent P&ID software (SmartPlant,SPPID, AutoCAD P&ID) to generate accurate diagrams and automated reports, including Line Lists, Valve Lists, Specialty Items Lists, and Instrument Lists. Correct drawings based on redlines and mark-ups from engineers and checking personnel prior to formal submission. Ensure all work is in strict compliance with Company CAD Standards and project-specific coordination procedures. Collaborate effectively with process, mechanical, and instrumentation engineers to ensure design intent is accurately captured and implemented. Work efficiently in a work-share environment, coordinating with the lead office and team members across different project stages. Produce 'As-Built' drawings to reflect the final constructed condition of the plant. Apply technical knowledge to maintain a consistently high standard of quality and technical content in all deliverables. Proactively communicate with supervisors and lead engineers to elevate issues and ensure timely resolutions.

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Minimum requirement). Alternatively, a certification as a Mechanical Draftsperson or from a reputed AutoCAD drafting institute. 3-5 years of proven experience in process plant drafting and design, specifically focused on P&IDs. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD & Plant 3D. Familiarity with SmartPlant (SPPID) is a valued plus. Experience in Industrial, Chemical, or Oil & Gas manufacturing projects is highly desirable. Strong understanding of P&ID symbology, standards, and best practices. Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills. A proactive learner, willing to enhance software skills and adapt to new tools as per project requirements.
