Job Description

The Pickleball Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering high-quality pickleball instruction to individuals and groups of varying ages and skill levels.

This role aims to foster skill development, promote physical fitness, encourage sportsmanship, and grow participation in the sport of pickleball within a positive and inclusive environment. Game host/Open games Center management Clinic Session.

Duties and Responsibilities

:

Design, develop, and implement engaging and effective lesson plans for private, semi-private, and group pickleball lessons, clinics, workshops, and camps. Instruct participants on fundamental pickleball techniques (e.g., dinks, volleys, serves, groundstrokes), strategies (e.g., court positioning, shot selection, game theory), and official rules. Provide constructive, clear, and encouraging feedback to help participants improve their skills, correct errors, and enhance their overall game performance. Revenue Adapt coaching methods and content to meet the individual needs and learning styles of diverse participants, from beginners to advanced players. Community +Monitor and assess player performance, setting measurable goals and tracking progress. Ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all participants, adhering to all safety protocols and facility guidelines. Program Development & Management: Assist in the creation and execution of pickleball programs, leagues, ladders, social events, and tournaments designed to increase participation and community engagement. Collaborate with department staff or management to coordinate schedules, court assignments, and necessary resources for lessons and events. Maintain accurate records of attendance, participant progress, and program-related data. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and rules in pickleball, and actively pursue professional development and certifications. Court & Equipment Management: Ensure proper court set-up and perform opening and closing duties as required. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of pickleball courts and equipment. Report any maintenance needs, damage, or safety concerns regarding courts or equipment to the appropriate personnel. Assist with inventory and ordering of pickleball merchandise or equipment as needed. Customer Service & Communication: Provide excellent customer service, greeting patrons with a positive attitude and professionally representing the pickleball program/organization. Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and administrative staff regarding lesson schedules, progress, and any concerns. Promote and upsell pickleball programming and facility offerings to encourage continued participation and membership. Foster a positive, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere within the pickleball community.

Qualifications

:

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or degree in a related field (e.g., Sports Management) preferred. Proven experience as a Pickleball Instructor, or significant coaching/playing experience in pickleball or related racquet sports (e.g., tennis, badminton). Minimum [e.g., 1-2] years of teaching experience preferred.

Certifications:

Pickleball Instructor Certification from a recognized body (e.g., IPTPA, PPR, USA Pickleball) required or actively pursuing certification.
