Summary
As a PI System Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the PI System infrastructure. This includes managing data acquisition, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the integration of the PI System with various applications. Your role will be critical in providing real-time data access and analysis to support decision-making processes within the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the PI System operates efficiently and securely, contributing to the organization\'s operational excellence.
Your responsibilities
- Responsible for the system administration of the Pi system which includes:
- Making sure all components keep running and all data is captured
- Incident response: resolve incidents where the system is malfunctioning
- Incident analysis: Identify re-occurring issues and propose/investigate long term solutions
- Expand current monitoring solutions to make sure the system is always \xe2\x80\x9cup\xe2\x80\x9d
- Execute data contextualization tasks by building AF structures.
- Be a leader who is ready to train his colleagues in the subject matter at hand
- Document system architectures and write articles of how common issues are solved
- Act as the SPOC to the team in Belgium. He/she should clearly communicate problems and possible improvements to the team in Belgium
Your profile
- Excellent English
- Fast and eager learner
- Willing to travel for short trips (to Belgium)
- Good teacher who is eager to transfer his knowledge to his colleagues.
- Strive for operational excellence.
- Experience in the system administration of IT-systems (must)
- Knowledge of our vessels and their operations (preferred)
- Has knowledge of a scripting language. Preferably python (nice to have)
- Understands the basic of computer networks (nice to have)
