Physiotherapist - Nahla Centre for Child Development, Wayanad

As a physiotherapist at Nahla, you will work closely with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals -- including psychologists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and pediatricians -- to deliver holistic, family-centered care.
You will assess and treat children with a wide range of physical difficulties, such as delayed motor milestones, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, autism spectrum disorders, and orthopedic conditions. Your approach will be hands-on, creative, and child-focused, combining therapeutic exercises, play-based interventions, and adaptive tools.
In this role, you'll also serve as a guide for parents and caregivers -- helping them understand their child's condition and empowering them with strategies and exercises to continue progress at home. Regular documentation, follow-ups, and collaborative goal-setting with families are key parts of your work.
Responsibilities Include:
Performing detailed physical and functional assessments of children
Designing and implementing individualized therapy plans
Applying techniques such as neurodevelopmental therapy, motor coordination training, and therapeutic play
Using tools such as resistance bands, therapy balls, balance boards, and mobility aids
Collaborating with other professionals to ensure integrated care
Educating and training caregivers on home exercise programs and positioning techniques
Monitoring progress and adapting therapy as needed
Participating in outreach programs and public awareness sessions
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT)
Valid physiotherapy license/registration
Experience or strong interest in pediatric and developmental therapy
Excellent interpersonal skills -- especially empathy, patience, and creativity
Comfortable working in a multicultural, multilingual setting (proficiency in Malayalam and English is ideal)
Ability to document progress clearly and work in a team-driven environment

Compensation:
Annual salary typically ranges from
