This is a full-time hybrid position for a physiotherapist based in Chennai. The role involves assessing and diagnosing motor, physical, and developmental challenges in young children through standardized assessments, clinical observation, and play-based evaluation, followed by designing individualized therapy plans.
The physiotherapist will collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team--including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, special educators, teachers, and other specialists--to identify priorities, set developmentally appropriate goals, and implement effective intervention strategies. Responsibilities include delivering therapy sessions, monitoring and documenting progress, updating goals, and modifying treatment plans as needed, while maintaining clear, accurate records and ensuring consistent communication with caregivers and involved professionals.
Additional responsibilities include providing consultation, training, and guidance to families, caregivers, and community partners on motor development, posture, movement patterns, prevention strategies, and evidence-based practices. The role also involves supporting transition planning (e.g., from early intervention to preschool or school) and advocating for the child's physical and functional needs across settings.
