Job Description

Patient Assessment: Physiotherapists evaluate patients by reviewing their medical history, conducting physical examinations, and using specialized assessment techniques to identify impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities.

Treatment Planning: Based on the assessment findings, physiotherapists develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the patient's specific needs. These plans may include exercises, manual therapy techniques, electrotherapy, and other modalities.

Therapeutic Interventions: Physiotherapists perform a variety of interventions to improve patients' physical function and alleviate pain. These interventions may include manual therapy (such as joint mobilization and soft tissue techniques), therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy (such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation), and hydrotherapy.

Patient Education: Physiotherapists educate patients about their conditions, treatment procedures, and self-management techniques. They provide guidance on exercises, proper body mechanics, and lifestyle modifications to promote recovery and prevent future injuries.

Monitoring Progress: Physiotherapists track the progress of their patients and modify treatment plans as necessary. They assess the effectiveness of interventions, make appropriate adjustments, and document the outcomes of the treatments.

Collaboration: Physiotherapists often work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, collaborating with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic care for patients. They may also communicate with family members or caregivers to involve them in the treatment process.

Record-Keeping: Physiotherapists maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and progress notes.
