Role Overview:



The Pediatric Physiotherapist will play a key role in assessing, planning, and delivering therapy interventions for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and special needs. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to support each child's functional progress, independence, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:



Clinical Assessment & Intervention



Conduct detailed physiotherapy assessments for children with diverse developmental and neurological conditions. Design individualized treatment plans targeting motor skills, mobility, posture, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence. Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy sessions tailored to each child's needs. Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

Family & Caregiver Training



Educate parents and caregivers on home programs, positioning, exercises, and strategies to support the child's development. Provide counseling and guidance to ensure continuity of care at home.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration



Work in close coordination with occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, special educators, and medical professionals. Participate in case discussions, team reviews, IEP planning, and progress meetings.

Documentation & Reporting



Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, therapy plans, progress notes, and outcomes in the NIARC system. Prepare periodic reports as required by the organization.

Program Development & Support



Contribute to therapy workshops, parent training programs, and community awareness initiatives. Support NIARC's mission to empower children with special needs and enhance family-centered care.

Qualifications & Skills:



Education:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT). Specialization in Pediatrics (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience:



1-3 years of experience in pediatric physiotherapy (freshers with strong pediatric interest may be considered).

Skills:



Strong understanding of child development and pediatric rehabilitation techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Empathy, patience, and child-friendly approach. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong documentation and assessment skills.
