Responsibilities



As a Physiotherapist Attendant, your core responsibilities will include:

Assisting Therapists:

Provide direct, hands-on assistance to the Physiotherapists during patient treatment sessions, including setting up and preparing equipment (e.g., hot packs, cold packs, exercise machines, traction units).

Patient Support:

Guide and assist patients with safe transfer (e.g., to/from wheelchairs, beds, treatment tables) and positioning during exercises or modalities, strictly following the therapist's instructions.

Maintenance & Hygiene:

Ensure all treatment areas, equipment, and linens are cleaned, sterilized, and maintained in excellent working order and comply with infection control standards. Report any equipment malfunctions promptly.

Administrative Tasks:

Manage and organize clinic supplies, linens, and inventory. Assist with basic documentation, scheduling, and preparation of patient files as directed by the clinical staff.

Clinic Flow:

Maintain an organized and smooth flow of the clinic schedule, preparing treatment rooms efficiently between patient appointments.

Safety & Compliance:

Monitor patients during non-direct treatment (e.g., while using stationary equipment) and immediately alert the Physiotherapist to any changes in patient status or signs of distress. Adhere to all OrangeCross Lifecare policies, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications



Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Certification as a Physiotherapist Attendant, Physical Therapy Aide, or equivalent medical/patient care training is highly preferred.

Experience:

Previous experience (e.g., 1+ year) in a patient care, hospital, rehabilitation, or clinic setting is a significant advantage.

Knowledge:

Basic understanding of human anatomy and standard physiotherapy modalities (e.g., TENS, Ultrasound, exercise equipment) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely assist with patient transfers and stand/walk for extended periods.
