Role: Physiotherapy Assistant

Job Purpose:

Promote and maintain health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist

Job Responsibilities:

Contributes to a physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining updating, and studying therapy histories Administers treatment programs for patients Evaluates abnormal conditions by reviewing physical therapist's interpretations of patient evaluations and test results Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities Helps patients in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records

Job Specifications:

Qualification: Associate degree for physical therapy assistant, state-administered exam or the National Physical Therapy Exam administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the same role Technical Skills / Job related skills: Record Management, high standard of patient care, knowledge in various physiotherapy treatments, techniques and equipment Management Skills: Be a good team player, maintain good people relations, maintain a positive attitude Communication Skills: Good command over English, Kannada, Good listening skills and ability to display empathy and provide advice

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?22,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
