Qualification: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy (Pediatric/Neuro).

Job description

A physiotherapist, also known as a physical therapist, is a healthcare professional who specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of physical impairments, disabilities, and movement disorders of special needs children.

They aim to promote optimal mobility, function, and quality of life of special needs children.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of special needs children. Physiotherapists assess special needs children through physical examinations, and review of medical history to identify impairments, functional limitations, and movement disorders. Diagnose physical conditions and developmental delays that affect movement and function. Treatment Planning and Implementation: Based on the assessment, physiotherapists develop individualized treatment plans and goals for the children . Implement physiotherapy interventions to improve strength, coordination, balance, and motor skills. Use evidence-based techniques such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and play-based therapy. Provide education and training to parents on exercises and activities to support the child's development at home. Regularly monitor and document the child's progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Conduct follow-up assessments to ensure the effectiveness of interventions.
