Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site (Residential School)

St. George's College Mussoorie is a 172-year-old premier all-boys residential school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE). We are currently inviting applications for the post of Middle School Physics Teacher for Classes 7, 8 and 9 to join our dedicated academic faculty.

Responsibilities

Teach Physics to students of Classes 7, 8 and 9 with strong emphasis on conceptual clarity Plan and deliver engaging activity-based and age-appropriate lessons Conduct laboratory experiments and practical demonstrations effectively Encourage scientific inquiry logical reasoning and problem-solving skills Prepare students for internal assessments and examinations as per ICSE guidelines Integrate digital tools and innovative pedagogical practices in classroom instruction Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary academic initiatives Participate actively in co-curricular activities and school events Provide academic mentoring and pastoral care in a residential school environment

Qualifications

Master's degree in Physics or a related discipline from a recognized university B.Ed. qualification (Compulsory) Minimum 5 years of teaching experience preferably at middle or secondary school level Familiarity with the ICSE curriculum will be an added advantage Ability to teach Chemistry will be an added advantage Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Willingness to contribute beyond classroom teaching in a boarding school setup
