Core Responsibilities Patient Examination and Diagnosis: Conducting physical exams, reviewing patient medical histories, and diagnosing injuries and illnesses. Treatment Planning: Developing and managing comprehensive treatment plans for patients. Prescribing and Monitoring: Prescribing medications and monitoring patient progress to adjust treatments as needed. Diagnostic Services: Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic assessments. Surgical Assistance: Assisting in surgeries and potentially performing minor surgical procedures. Patient Education: Counseling patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and new treatments. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting progress and treatments. Collaboration: Working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
