Conduct patient examinations and obtain medical histories.
Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions under physician supervision.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work, X-rays, and MRIs.
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state and facility regulations.
Assist in surgical procedures and perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care).
Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists to ensure coordinated care.
Maintain compliance with medical protocols, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
BLS/ACLS certification (as required by facility).
Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR/EMR).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
