Role Summary:

As a

Physical Education Teacher (PET)

, you will be placed in a school and play a key role in implementing Sportathon Foundation's

sports-integrated curriculum

. You will ensure regular sports sessions, promote inclusive participation, support life skills development, and build a safe, joyful play culture for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver structured Physical Education and sports sessions (as per curriculum) Ensure

age-appropriate

, inclusive and engaging physical activities Promote

life skills

, teamwork, and gender equity through sports Maintain regular tracking of student participation, engagement, and skill development Organize

intra-school games, fitness assessments, and events

Build positive relationships with students, school staff, and parents Support training and mentoring of youth volunteers or assistant coaches Manage and maintain sports equipment, ensuring availability and proper usage Maintain accurate attendance, session logs, and submit regular progress reports Uphold safety, discipline, and sportsmanship at all times Collaborate and build rapport with school stakeholders to support program success

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent Prior 2-3 years experience working with children in a school or sports setup preferred Strong communication, facilitation, and classroom management skills Passion for sports, fitness, and holistic child development Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds Open to continuous learning, feedback, and collaboration
