Job Description

The Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for developing students' physical competence, promoting healthy lifestyle habits, and fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. The role includes planning, delivering, and assessing physical education lessons in alignment with the school's curriculum and educational standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Curriculum Delivery

Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that cater to varying skill levels and abilities. Instruct students in a variety of sports, games, fitness activities, and health education topics. Incorporate safety guidelines and injury prevention measures in all activities. Adapt lessons to include students with different learning needs and physical abilities.

2. Student Development & Assessment

Assess and record student performance, progress, and participation. Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage improvement and motivation. Organize skill development programs and inter-house/class competitions.

3. Extracurricular & Event Management

Coach school teams for inter-school competitions and sports meets. Plan and coordinate annual sports day and other physical activity events. Encourage participation in fitness programs and extracurricular sports clubs.

4. Health, Safety & Discipline

Maintain sports equipment and ensure safe use of facilities. Enforce rules of games and promote fair play and good sportsmanship. Educate students on healthy lifestyle habits, nutrition, and physical wellness.

5. Collaboration & Professional Development

Work closely with other teachers and school leadership to integrate PE with the overall curriculum. Attend staff meetings, training programs, and professional development workshops. Maintain open communication with parents regarding student performance and participation.

Qualifications

Education & Certification:

Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field (B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed preferred). Teaching certification as per local/state education board requirements.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
