As a

Physical Education Teacher

at Vadi Husna Public School, you will be responsible for promoting physical fitness, health, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students across various age groups. You will play a vital role in supporting the holistic development of students by fostering a lifelong appreciation for physical activity and well-being, while upholding the school's ethos and standards.

Key Responsibilities



Instruction and Curriculum Delivery



Plan, organize, and deliver age-appropriate PE lessons aligned with CBSE and school guidelines. Teach fundamental movement skills, physical fitness routines, and a variety of sports, games, and athletic activities. Develop and implement structured physical activity programs for Foundation Stage through Senior Secondary students, adapting lessons to meet diverse abilities and needs. Integrate values of fair play, discipline, teamwork, and perseverance into daily teaching. Prepare weekly lesson plans and submit them to the HoD/HoS/Principal for review. Conduct regular assessments of students' physical development, motor skills, and fitness levels through observation and structured activities. Ensure alignment of PE activities with the school's curriculum and religious ethos.

Student Support and Development



Encourage participation in physical activities among all students, fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Identify and support students with special physical needs or potential in specific sports. Promote healthy lifestyle choices through discussions on nutrition, hygiene, exercise, and overall wellness. Provide guidance to students to help them develop sportsmanship, confidence, resilience, and leadership qualities.

Event Planning and Co-Curricular Involvement



Organize and lead school-wide sporting events such as Sports Day, Inter-House Competitions, Fitness Challenges, and Annual Athletic Meets. Train and prepare students for inter-school tournaments, Sahodaya competitions, and other external sporting events. Assist in managing and conducting warm-up sessions, drill displays, and movement-based events for school functions. Oversee morning fitness routines, yoga sessions, and CCA activities related to physical education.

Health, Safety, and Supervision



Ensure the safe use and storage of all sports equipment and facilities. Maintain discipline and safety during PE sessions and actively supervise students during sports activities, intervals, field trips, and lunch breaks. Monitor students' physical health during activities and administer basic first aid when needed, reporting any concerns promptly. Conduct regular inspections of play areas and sporting equipment to ensure safety standards are met.

Communication and Collaboration



Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents, and staff regarding students' physical development, behavior, and participation. Collaborate with class teachers, house mentors, and CCA coordinators for holistic student engagement. Participate in staff meetings, training programs, planning sessions, and school assemblies. Support coordination with external trainers or coaches if required.

Professional Conduct and Compliance



Complete 50 hours of annual CBSE-recommended training and stay updated on trends and best practices in physical education and youth fitness. Maintain accurate records of student performance and activity participation. Refrain from using mobile phones during school hours, especially in the presence of students. Communicate in English with students, parents, and staff at all times. Ensure all official communication is through the school's ERP/email system and encourage stakeholders to use the same. Uphold the school's code of conduct and policies, including responsible leave-taking and attendance protocols. Fulfil additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or HoS, including bus duty, cafeteria supervision, and prayer hall discipline monitoring.

Inclusivity and Character Building



Promote inclusivity by adapting activities to support students of all abilities. Encourage respect, cooperation, empathy, and team spirit among students through structured games and sports. Recognize and celebrate student achievements in physical education through certificates, bulletin boards, and assemblies.

Note:

The Physical Education Teacher may be assigned to teach across different school sections based on scheduling and requirements. A proactive, energetic, and student-centered approach is essential for success in this role
