Qualifications & Skills Required:

Essential Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Kinesiology, Health & Human Performance, or a related field. Basic knowledge of physical education curriculum and assessment practices.

Desirable Skills:

Strong understanding of PE theory (anatomy, fitness, biomechanics, health education, etc.). Good written communication and comprehension skills. Attention to detail and consistency in marking. Ability to follow detailed marking guides and rubrics. Time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines. Basic digital literacy (e.g., working with spreadsheets or LMS platforms like Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard). Willingness to learn and accept feedback.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Mark and grade assignments, quizzes, or practical assessments according to predefined rubrics and marking criteria. Ensure fairness, accuracy, and consistency in all grading. Provide brief written feedback to students (where required). Maintain confidentiality of student marks and information. Participate in training or moderation sessions as directed by the course coordinator. Report any discrepancies or academic concerns (e.g., plagiarism, incomplete work) to the supervisor. Meet deadlines for returning marks and feedback. Assist in data entry of marks into systems if required. Support quality assurance processes by maintaining high standards of assessment.
