Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced PHP Developer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in

PHP development

using

WordPress

,

Laravel

, and other MVC frameworks. The ideal candidate should be capable of leading small teams, interacting directly with clients, and delivering high-quality web solutions. Experience with

Shopify

and

Magento

will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using

PHP

,

Laravel

, and

WordPress

. Work with

MVC frameworks

and follow coding best practices. Customize WordPress themes and plugins; develop reusable components. Develop and integrate

RESTful APIs

for web and mobile applications. Collaborate with the frontend team to deliver responsive and interactive interfaces using

HTML, CSS, JavaScript

, and related libraries. Conduct and participate in

unit testing

to ensure software quality and performance. Handle

client communications

, understand project requirements, and provide timely updates. Manage and mentor junior developers, assign tasks, and ensure timely project delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Ensure application security, scalability, and performance. Contribute to project planning, estimation, and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum

3 years of experience

in PHP development. Proficient in

WordPress

(custom themes/plugins),

Laravel

, and

MVC frameworks

. Solid frontend development skills:

HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery

. Hands-on experience in

REST API

design and implementation. Familiar with

unit testing frameworks

like PHPUnit or Pest. Good understanding of

MySQL

and database design. Experience using

Git

for version control. Strong communication skills with the ability to handle

client interactions

independently. Experience in

team coordination or mentoring

junior developers.

Additional/Bonus Skills:

Experience in

Shopify

theme customization and app integration. Working knowledge of

Magento

(Open Source or Commerce). Familiarity with

Vue.js

or

React.js

is a plus. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or other DevOps tools.
