PHP Tester

to ensure the quality and performance of our PHP-based web applications.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

manual and automated testing

of PHP applications and APIs. Identify, document, and track

bugs, inconsistencies, and issues

. Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand project requirements and functionality. Write, maintain, and execute

test cases

,

test scripts

, and

test plans

. Conduct

regression testing

,

unit testing

, and

performance testing

. Report test results clearly and concisely to the development team. Ensure compliance with coding and design standards. Create and manage test data and environments. Perform cross-browser and responsive testing. Contribute to the QA process improvements and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in testing web applications, preferably in

PHP

environments. Strong understanding of

PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

(basic level for testing purposes). Experience with

test case management tools

(e.g., TestRail, JIRA). Familiarity with

automation testing tools

like Selenium or PHPUnit is a plus. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Familiarity with version control (Git). Experience in writing SQL queries for testing purposes. Basic knowledge of RESTful API structure.

Good to Have

Experience with

CI/CD tools

(Git, Jenkins). Knowledge of API testing tools like

Postman

or

SoapUI

. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
