Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate PHP OpenSource Developer proficient in WordPress, Laravel, Shopify, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will independently manage end-to-end development of CMS-based and custom web applications, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable code. Experience or interest in AI-driven development tools to optimize application performance and enhance features is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes, plugins, and custom functionality, incorporating AI-based enhancements to improve performance and user experience. Build scalable, secure web applications using the Laravel framework, integrating AI-driven features such as smart search, recommendations, or automation tools. Develop and customize Shopify stores, including theme development, app integrations, and AI-powered ecommerce solutions to drive sales and improve customer engagement. Write clean, secure, and efficient PHP code for backend logic, leveraging AI tools for code optimization and automated bug detection. Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and AI-powered web services to extend application functionality. Optimize application performance and scalability using AI-assisted profiling and optimization tools. Debug and troubleshoot issues across multiple environments, using AI-driven root cause analysis and automated error detection tools. Collaborate closely with front-end developers and designers to implement user-facing elements and explore AI-driven personalization and UX improvements. Manage database schema design and performance (MySQL/MariaDB), utilizing AI methods for query prediction and optimization. Ensure adherence to best practices in code quality, version control (Git), documentation, and testing, incorporating AI-enhanced code review and testing workflows where applicable. Stay current with emerging web technologies, PHP trends, AI innovations, and ecommerce platforms like Shopify to continually improve development processes and product offerings.

Requirements:

Proven experience with AI-powered development tools for code analysis, testing, and application optimization. Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery. Deep knowledge of WordPress architecture, plugin development, and theme customization. Solid hands-on experience with the Laravel framework and MVC architecture. Experience with Shopify theme development, app integration, and ecommerce workflows. Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration. Expertise in Git version control and collaborative workflows. Understanding of OOP principles and PHP best practices. Experience with server environments (Apache, Nginx) and deployment tools. Exposure to other PHP CMS/frameworks like Magento, Joomla, CodeIgniter is a plus. Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js. Basic understanding of DevOps concepts, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
