Job Title: PHP Developer (CodeIgniter / Laravel / WordPress / MySQL)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and responsible PHP Developer with 1-2 years of experience in PHP frameworks (CodeIgniter / Laravel), WordPress development, MySQL, and basic Linux server management. The ideal candidate should be able to work on backend APIs, CMS-based projects, admin panels, and perform basic server deployments.

Key Responsibilities

PHP Development (CodeIgniter & Laravel)

- Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP, CodeIgniter, or Laravel.

- Build RESTful APIs and integrate external services.

- Follow MVC architecture and write clean, reusable code.

- Debug and troubleshoot application issues.

WordPress Development

- Create and customize WordPress themes and plugins.

- Maintain existing WordPress websites, improve performance, and fix bugs.

- Integrate payment gateways, forms, and other plugins.

- Ensure website security and backups.

Database (MySQL)

- Write efficient SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, and triggers.

- Optimize database performance and maintain data integrity.

- Manage migrations, indexes, and backups.

Linux / Server Management

- Basic knowledge of Linux commands (Ubuntu/CentOS).

- Deploy projects on shared/VPS/Linux servers.

- Manage cron jobs, permissions, logs, and SSH access.

- Monitor server performance and basic security practices.

General Responsibilities

- Understand client/project requirements and convert them into functional modules.

- Work collaboratively with designers, QA, and other developers.

- Participate in testing, debugging, and deployment cycles.

- Maintain proper documentation of features and processes.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of PHP, CodeIgniter, and/or Laravel

- Experience with WordPress (theme/plugin customization)

- Good understanding of MySQL (queries, optimization)

- Basic knowledge of Linux server environment

- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and AJAX

- Familiarity with Git (GitHub/Bitbucket)

Good to Have

- Knowledge of jQuery, JavaScript, Bootstrap

- Experience with cPanel, VPS, or cloud servers

- Understanding of caching, APIs, and cron jobs

- Knowledge of Composer, Postman, API testing

- Familiarity with SEO basics for WordPress

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

- 1-2 years of hands-on development experience
