About the Role
We are seeking a skilled PHP Consultant for a short-term contract engagement to assist our team with improving, debugging, and modernizing our PHP-based systems, including CRM customizations and integrations.
If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, modernizing legacy stacks, and enabling scalable architectures, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level guidance on PHP development and debugging best practices

• Assist in understanding the existing CRM architecture, including customization and integration points

• Support setup and configuration of local development environments and debugging tools

• Help resolve technical issues and bugs within the CRM tool

• Lead knowledge-transfer sessions to strengthen internal development capabilities

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in PHP development, including working with legacy systems

• Hands-on experience with CRM systems - preferably SuiteCRM or SugarCRM

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and architectural analysis skills

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with an internal development team

• Experience setting up development environments and tools (e.g., Xdebug, Docker, etc.) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Prior consulting or employment experience for minimum 2.5yrs is highly desirable

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• A growth mindset -- open to learning, adapting, and tackling new technical challenges.

Engagement Terms
The selected consultant will be onboarded for an initial 60 day contract with standard payment terms on immediate basis. Based on performance and project scope, the engagement may be extended on a rolling basis with a pre-defined notice period.
