No. of. Positions: 8 The Production Artist must have a comprehensive understanding of the print production process. The role of the Production Artist at SGSco Mumbai is a bridge between 2D print and 3D CGI. The skill set must include a high level of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop applications. A solid understanding of print production techniques in order to take existing production art files and break them apart for 3D production. As part of a team, the Production Artist will work closely with Producers/Coordinators/Account Management Team, Modelers, and Lighters to provide the necessary 2D files for CGI production use. Apart from the daily need for CGI support the ability to create vector art for 3D Displacement maps is a requirement of the position. Job Responsibilities: Understand the structure of a pre-press file, color space, and requirements necessary for successful results. Attends any client meetings (e.g. pre-production) as necessary. Ensures accurate, consistent, and timely completion of high-quality basic to intermediate or complex-level Artwork, effectively using industry-standard software, tools, and Print techniques. Create simple/basic 2D and/or 3D renders. 2D image manipulation - packaging artwork and final product image. Meet quality standards for assigned deliverables and recommend improvements to Management in reports, tools, processes, and assigned tasks. Works well in a dynamic, speed-to-market-focused team environment with minimum supervision Ability to prioritize workload, proactively seek answers to questions and meet assigned deadlines Use internal MIS to record accurate data on personal production timings. Create strong and effective internal partnerships, and collaborate with clients Make recommendations to Management for improvements in reports, tools, processes, and assigned tasks. Able to work in rotational shifts Minimum Requirements: Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of education and experience (2+ years) sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job. Diploma or bachelor\'s Degree in appropriate disciplines such as Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, Advertising, Interior Design, or other related fields such as fine arts or fashion preferred. Previous experience in prepress, graphic arts, or related field in print manufacturing required The following are the base skills that every Production artist should have some ability in, with a chosen specialty: Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Adobe Acrobat Print Pre-Press knowledge Color Management knowledge RGB & CMYK Good people, organizational, and analytical skills: Communication: Good oral and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Attention to Detail: good project management and organizational skills Team Work: Working well with others in teams to complete jobs Time Management: Manage workload in order to not miss deadlines.
