Minimum: 25 hrs/week
Maximum: 40 hrs/week (if you want to scale)

We work 24/7, so photographers around the world always have help.
You can pick shifts in:

? Hourly Range: $6-$15/hr (based on the expertise)

? Your Role
As a Aftershoot CS expert you'll:
You will help photographers who need support while using Aftershoot. You will mainly work through live chat and email using Intercom, where you will answer questions, guide users, and help them solve issues in a friendly and simple way.
What You'll Do
Chat with users in real time and help them with Aftershoot features
Reply to email support tickets troubleshoot, provide clear, helpful solutions
Explain how to use features in a step-by-step way
Represent Aftershoot in community groups, 1x1 expert calls with customers, communication channels
Provide early feedback on new features and user experiences

Instead, think of this as your guided evolution from power user to official expert. It's fast-tracked, yes - but also intentionally designed to help you become truly exceptional at what you do.
Here's how your onboarding journey unfolds, step by step:
? Phase 1: Refresher & Orientation (Week 1)
Get a full refresher on recent product updates and features you might not have explored yet
Dive into our brand voice - how we talk, how we listen, and how we support with empathy and clarity
Set up your workspace, get access to all the tools you'll need, and review our brand guidelines so you can represent Aftershoot authentically
? Phase 2: Scenario Simulations (Week 2)
Now it's time to put theory into practice. You'll walk through real-world scenarios - the tricky questions, the "aha!" moments, and the technical hiccups users face. This is where you sharpen your instincts and learn how to guide others with confidence.
Practice mock user sessions that cover common (and not-so-common) challenges
Master advanced troubleshooting techniques so you're ready for anything
Learn how to communicate in the Aftershoot way - whether it's through Intercom, community forums, or live conversations
? Phase 3: Live Shadowing (Week 3)
This is your backstage pass. You'll shadow our experienced Customer Experience team during live shifts, watching how they handle real conversations in real time. You'll see the rhythm, the flow, and the little details that make great support truly great.
Shadow live support sessions and observe how our team connects with users
Learn the full customer journey - from the first message to resolution
Understand when and how to escalate issues, and who to loop in when things get complex
? Phase 4: Go Live (Week 4)
You're ready. This is where you step into the spotlight and start supporting real users on your own. You'll answer questions, share insights, solve problems, and make a real impact. Plus, you'll start contributing to the bigger picture - creating content, joining webinars, and shaping the future of Aftershoot alongside our team.
Begin supporting actual users independently - this is where the magic happens

Weekends are when our users come alive -and we need our support superheroes to show up too. Don't worry, it's all structured and planned... no surprise "plot twists" on your Sundays.

A laptop that behaves (macOS/Windows, 8GB RAM+)
Internet that doesn't ghost you (speed test, please!)

? How many users will I talk to per day?
It varies! Your daily conversations depend on the shift and the type of work you're doing - everything from guiding new users to sharing tips, just like we described above. No surprise marathons, promise.
