The Photographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality images that showcase university life, academic achievements, events, campus infrastructure, and student activities. The role involves close collaboration with the marketing, PR, and digital teams to support brand visibility, admissions campaigns, and documentation of key university milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, shoot, and edit photographs for promotional, academic, and archival purposes
Cover university events, workshops, conferences, and ceremonies
Conduct dedicated photoshoots for faculty, staff, and students (portraits, group photos)
Maintain and update the digital photo library with proper metadata and backups
Coordinate with the design and social media teams for timely content delivery
Identify visual storytelling opportunities to enhance university brand image
Manage photography equipment, lighting setups, and studio space
Ensure all photo content aligns with brand guidelines and confidentiality norms
Support video production team as required for multimedia projects (optional)
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Media or related field
Minimum 2 years of professional experience, preferably in education or corporate environment
Proficiency in DSLR/mirrorless cameras, studio lighting, and accessories
Strong editing skills with Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom or similar tools
Excellent sense of composition, lighting, and aesthetics
Ability to work in fast-paced environments with strict deadlines
Flexible to work during evenings/weekends for major events
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in videography and basic video editing
Knowledge of digital asset management systems
Creative portfolio showcasing diverse photography work
