Key Responsibilities

Deliver classroom and hands-on training sessions in venipuncture, capillary puncture, specimen collection, handling, and labeling. Demonstrate and supervise proper infection control and safety procedures. Provide clear instructions on anatomy, physiology related to blood collection, and patient communication skills. Assess trainees' knowledge and practical performance through written tests, skills checklists, and competency evaluations. Ensure training materials, equipment, and supplies are maintained and available. Provide feedback, guidance, and remedial training to ensure high-quality learning outcomes. Keep accurate training records and prepare reports on trainee progress. Stay updated with current phlebotomy techniques, guidelines, and healthcare regulations. Promote a professional, ethical, and patient-centered approach to phlebotomy practices.
