SRM Prime Hospital

Collect blood samples:

Perform venipunctures and other blood-drawing techniques from patients for diagnostic testing, transfusions, or donations.

Ensure patient safety and comfort:

Put patients at ease, especially those who are anxious, by explaining the procedure and maintaining a calm environment.

Verify patient identity:

Confirm the correct patient before drawing blood to prevent mix-ups.

Label and handle samples:

Accurately label all blood samples with patient information and handle them securely to maintain sample integrity.

Maintain records:

Accurately document all procedures and update patient records.

Follow safety protocols:

Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent contamination or infection and dispose of medical instruments properly.

Prepare and transport samples:

Prepare samples for transportation to a laboratory and deliver them to the appropriate location.

Maintain equipment and work area:

Keep all equipment clean and sanitary and organize supplies.
