We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory analysis. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and verify their identity before collecting blood samples \xe2\x80\xa2 Explain the phlebotomy process to patients and answer any questions they may have \xe2\x80\xa2 Collect blood samples using venipuncture or capillary puncture techniques \xe2\x80\xa2 Label and prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during and after the phlebotomy procedure \xe2\x80\xa2 Clean and sterilize equipment, as well as maintain a clean and safe work environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner \xe2\x80\xa2 Follow all applicable regulations, standards, and protocols related to phlebotomy and patient care.
- High School diploma or equivalent \xe2\x80\xa2 Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program \xe2\x80\xa2 Certification in phlebotomy is preferred \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work independently and as part of a team \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong attention to detail and accuracy \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
