Job Summary

We are seeking a

skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist / Phlebotomy Technician

to join our healthcare team. The role involves drawing blood from patients of all ages, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

Collect blood samples

via venipuncture, finger sticks, or heel sticks (for infants).

Verify patient identity

and ensure accurate labeling of all specimens.

Prepare and maintain equipment

such as needles, vials, and collection tubes.

Follow infection control and safety protocols

to prevent contamination or disease transmission.

Provide patient care and reassurance

, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.

Transport and process samples

for laboratory testing or storage.

Maintain accurate records

in patient databases and update medical files.

Collaborate with healthcare staff

to ensure timely and accurate specimen handling.

Perform basic patient checks

(e.g., vital signs) when required.

Ensure cleanliness and organization

of phlebotomy stations and equipment.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a

phlebotomy training program

or certification (e.g., CPT - Certified Phlebotomy Technician).

100+ hours of practical experience

in blood collection preferred. Knowledge of

infection control, safety standards, and specimen handling

. Strong

communication and interpersonal skills

to calm anxious patients.

Preferred Skills

Experience with

electronic health record (EHR) systems

. Ability to work in

fast-paced clinical environments

. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Familiarity with

centrifuging and preparing samples

for advanced testing.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
