The Phlebotomist - Homecare Facility will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients in their homes with accuracy, professionalism, and compassion. The role requires maintaining high standards of sample collection, labeling, and transportation, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Visit patients' homes for sample collection as per assigned schedule.
Collect blood, urine, and other specimens following proper phlebotomy techniques and safety protocols.
Verify patient details before collection and ensure accurate labeling of all samples.
Handle, store, and transport specimens to the laboratory in a timely and safe manner.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all phlebotomy tools and equipment.
Record collection details accurately in the system or on prescribed forms.
Communicate courteously with patients and provide information regarding the collection process.
Follow infection control guidelines and adhere to all health and safety standards.
Ensure timely coordination with the laboratory and homecare team for smooth operations.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
