Job Description

We are seeking a pleasant and professional Phlebotomist who will be the first point of contact for our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to draw blood samples from patients for medical testing, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience. The ideal candidate is empathetic, has excellent technical skills, and can maintain the highest standards of hygiene and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages with skill and compassion. Correctly identify patients and label sample tubes accurately to ensure integrity. Ensure patient comfort and alleviate anxiety about the blood collection process. Maintain a clean, sterile, and well-organized work station. Adhere to all safety protocols, standard precautions, and infection control procedures. Manage and process specimens for laboratory testing. Handle basic patient data entry and maintain accurate records. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.

Who We Are Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):

Certification:

A diploma or certification in Phlebotomy is required.

Experience:

Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist in a hospital, clinic, or diagnostic lab. Freshers with exceptional skills may also be considered.

Technical Skills:

Proven proficiency in venipuncture techniques with a high success rate.

Soft Skills:

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Empathy and a gentle, patient-centric approach. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge:

Understanding of medical terminology and basic laboratory procedures.
