Position Overview
The Laboratory Technician assists in the preparation, management, and operation of undergraduate pharmacy laboratories. This position supports faculty and students in conducting experiments, maintaining instruments, ensuring laboratory safety, and managing chemical and equipment inventories. The role requires technical proficiency, organizational skills, and strict adherence to academic and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and set up laboratory experiments for students as per course requirements and faculty direction.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments, including balances, spectrophotometers, pH meters, and dissolution apparatus.
Ensure safe storage, labelling, and disposal of chemicals according to institutional and regulatory guidelines.
Monitor student activities during lab sessions to ensure proper use of materials and compliance with safety protocols.
Assist faculty in performing and demonstrating laboratory experiments.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness, sanitation, and readiness for successive sessions.
Keep accurate records of laboratory stock, requisitions, and usage reports.
Provide first-line maintenance and troubleshoot minor technical faults in lab equipment.
Support implementation of institutional safety and quality assurance protocols.
Participate in stock audits, calibration schedules, and laboratory inspections.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy/D.Pharma, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field.
2-3 years of experience as a laboratory technician or assistant in a pharmacy or science laboratory, preferably in an educational institution.
Proficiency in operating basic pharmaceutical lab equipment and understanding of analytical procedures.

Sound knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and laboratory safety standards.
Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate with faculty and students effectively.
Working Conditions
Work conducted primarily in laboratory environments across teaching and research facilities.
May involve handling of hazardous materials under controlled conditions.
Requires flexibility to prepare labs before or after student sessions.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
