Job Description

Dispensing Medications:

Pharmacists accurately fill prescriptions, verifying dosages and ensuring patient safety.

Patient Counseling:

Providing guidance on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions with other drugs.

Inventory Management:

Maintaining appropriate stock levels, ordering medications, and managing expiration dates.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate patient medication histories and other relevant records.

Customer Service:

Addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and providing advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.

Compliance:

Ensuring adherence to all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.

Collaboration:

Working with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Supervision:

In some cases, pharmacists may supervise pharmacy technicians or interns.

Administrative Tasks:

Handling billing, insurance claims, and other operational duties.
