Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Pharmacy Manager to oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy. The Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective dispensing of medications, compliance with regulatory standards, staff supervision, and maintaining optimal inventory to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department. Supervise, train, and evaluate pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and support staff. Ensure accurate dispensing of medications as per prescriptions. Monitor compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements (Drugs & Cosmetics Act, NABH, etc.). Oversee procurement, storage, and inventory management of medicines and supplies. Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for pharmacy operations. Ensure proper documentation, billing, and reporting of pharmaceutical transactions. Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Monitor adverse drug reactions and ensure pharmacovigilance practices. Develop and manage pharmacy budgets and cost-control measures. Drive continuous improvement, patient safety, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm) from a recognized institution. Valid Pharmacy Council registration (as per local regulations). Minimum

5-7 years of experience

, with at least

2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role

. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug regulations, and hospital pharmacy practices. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Work Environment:

Hospital / Retail Pharmacy / Healthcare Facility. Full-time role, with rotational shifts depending on operational needs.

Medical Superintendent / Director of Pharmacy / Hospital Administration.
