Job Description

The Pharmacy In-charge is responsible for the overall management and daily operation of the pharmacy. This leadership role ensures the provision of safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmaceutical care to all patients while maintaining strict compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities



1. Operational & Clinical Management



Oversee Daily Operations:

Ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate dispensing of all prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Patient Care:

Provide professional patient counseling on the proper use, dosage, side effects, and potential interactions of medications.

Quality Assurance:

Implement and monitor quality improvement programs and patient safety initiatives to minimize medication errors.

Collaboration:

Act as a liaison with healthcare providers (physicians, nurses, etc.) to optimize therapeutic outcomes and resolve prescription-related issues.

2. Regulatory Compliance



Licensing & Law:

Maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory standards, including those set by the Board of Pharmacy, DEA (for controlled substances), and other relevant bodies.

Policy Development:

Develop, implement, and enforce pharmacy policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Documentation:

Ensure meticulous record-keeping for all transactions, prescriptions, controlled substances, and staff training.

3. Staff Management & Leadership



Supervision:

Supervise, mentor, and provide direction to all pharmacy personnel, including staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.

Hiring & Training:

Participate in the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and continuous training and development of pharmacy staff.

Performance Management:

Conduct performance evaluations, manage staff scheduling, and address personnel issues.

4. Inventory & Financial Management



Inventory Control:

Oversee the entire inventory process, including purchasing, receiving, pricing, and proper storage of all medications and supplies.

Financial Oversight:

Manage the pharmacy budget, monitor financial performance, control expenses, and work to meet profitability or cost-management goals.

Waste Management:

Monitor and manage inventory to prevent outdates, minimize waste (shrinkage), and ensure secure storage of controlled substances.

Required Qualifications



Education:

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from an accredited institution , MBA (OPERATIONS)

Experience:

2 years of experience as a practicing Pharmacist, with a minimum of X years in a supervisory or management role.

Skills and Competencies



Leadership:

Strong leadership and managerial abilities with a proven track record of supervising and motivating a team.

Knowledge:

Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology and pharmaceutical calculations.

Regulatory Expertise:

In-depth understanding of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for counselling patients and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
