Sourcing and Supplier Management:
Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to ensure a reliable supply of quality products at competitive prices.
Inventory Management:
Monitoring inventory levels, forecasting demand, and implementing strategies to optimize stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Cost Management:
Analyzing costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing the procurement budget effectively.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, and implementing quality control measures to ensure procured items meet the required specifications.
Collaboration and Communication:
Working closely with internal departments (e.g., pharmacy, clinical departments, finance) to understand their needs and ensure smooth procurement processes.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Tracking key metrics, analyzing purchasing data, and reporting on procurement activities to senior management.
