Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of oncology and supportive care medications.
Prepare medication labels and ensure proper packaging according to safety and regulatory standards.
Manage and maintain inventory of chemotherapy and pharmaceutical supplies.
Receive, store, and check incoming stock deliveries, ensuring proper storage of temperature-sensitive drugs.
Organize medications for inpatient and outpatient oncology patients as directed.
Support pharmacists in sterile and non-sterile compounding, including chemotherapy preparation, under strict aseptic conditions (where trained and allowed).
Maintain cleanliness and safety of the pharmacy work area, including preparation rooms and storage areas.
Ensure all medication transactions are accurately recorded in the hospital pharmacy system.
Assist with patient file management, prescription entries, and insurance documentation as needed.
Follow infection control and hazardous drug handling protocols as per hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Participate in audits, training sessions, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
