Job Purpose

To support the pharmacist in day-to-day pharmacy operations by handling customers, managing medicines and inventory, billing, and maintaining store hygiene while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and company procedures.

Qualification: D.Pharm, B.Pharm or Any Degree

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service

Greet customers politely and understand their requirements. Guide customers to the correct counter or pharmacist for prescriptions. Assist customers in locating OTC products and wellness items. Handle basic customer queries and escalate medical questions to the pharmacist.
2. Prescription Support

Receive prescriptions and forward them to the pharmacist for verification. Pack medicines as per pharmacist's instructions. Ensure correct labeling and quantity before billing.
3. Billing & Cash Handling

Generate bills using POS/software systems. Handle cash, UPI, and card payments accurately. Maintain daily cash balance and handover to the authorized person.
4. Inventory & Stock Management

Arrange medicines and products as per category and expiry date (FIFO/FEFO). Check stock levels and inform the pharmacist/manager for re-ordering. Assist in stock receiving, verification, and shelving. Remove expired or damaged products as per company procedure.
5. Store Maintenance & Hygiene

Maintain cleanliness of shelves, counters, and store area. Ensure medicines are stored at proper temperature and conditions. Follow safety and storage guidelines for medicines.
